  • Though there have been 3 TV Movie versions of Rogers & Hammerstein’s take on this classic fairytale, and has been performed on stage many many times, this is the first time it’s been brought to Broadway
  • Not a straight adaptation, this version includes new characters, songs and story arcs; modernizing it a bit.
  • Some of the new songs featured in this version are songs that were cut from other Rogers & Hammerstein’s productions, like “Now is the Time” (cut from South Pacific) and “I’ve Lived and I’ve Loved” (cut from The Sound of Music)
  • There is a popular argument over whether or not this show is a Revival or Original Production
